BRRRRRR!: BRRRRRRRITAIN'S COLDEST JANUARY IN 23 YEARS

METRO: Coldest January for 23 years as snow returns
Britons shivered through the coldest January for more than two decades, it has been revealed – with February getting off to a chilly and snowy start.

The average temperature last month of 1.1˚C (34˚F) was colder than for any January since 1987 – and the ninth lowest in the past 100 years, figures showed.
